ICNA is offering free Flu Shots in November.


Schools are reviewing Re-Opening plans; Cohort’s of students are making staggered returns to classes.   ICNA and our local masajid have began offering food pantry items for all who need.


Youth Groups are beginning to meet outdoors only.


Jummahs are now being held with 6 feet distancing and some facilities require sign up sheets for attendance. Please check you local masjid websites for details.

Congratulations to 11th Grader, Suhylah Sharif for being chosen as one of Interfaith Community of Greater Richmond’s (ICGR) recipients of the Brotherhood and Sisterhood Youth Award!

CONGRATULATIONS TO AIMAN HANIF, winner of the Private School Spelling Bee held at Waldorf School. She now advances to the Richmond Times Dispatch 2018 Regional School Bee to be held at The Library of Virginia  on March 10th !

AMSR Students have sent a year’s sponsorship for 2 Orphans through Helping Hands, Alhamdulillah!!  Funds were raised through student donations and Bake Sales.  Even Chuckie E. Cheese coins were collected from our generous students!  Our intention is to sponsor 2 Orphans each quarter for a total of 8 orphans by the end of the school year, InshAllah! May we all stand side by side with our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Congratulations to ANSARS’, U-10  SOCCER LEAGUE! They are the 2017, Richmond City Soccer Champions for their age group/division, Alhamdulillah!

Al Madina School of Richmond sponsored its 1st Umrah Trip for the Spring 2018

The group left on Friday March 30th and returned on Sunday,  April 8th
Travelers departed from D.C., Houston and  N.Y. and we arrived in Madina for our 1st stop and stayed for 3 nights at The Iman Inter Continental Hotel !

Breakfast Buffet Every morning and dining available for lunch and dinner.

~The Prophet’s Mosque~

After 3 nights of prayer and worship receiving 1,000 times the deeds for each prayer there, we were then escorted by air conditioned bus to Mecca where they stayed at theFairmont Makkah Clock Royal Tower . 

~Al Ka’abah~

The pilgrims made Umrah (many times) and received 100,000 times the deeds for each prayer made at The House of Allah, Masjid Al Haram 

They were also treated to many tours of sites like Mount Hira, The Mountain of Uhud where the Battle of Uhud took place, Masjid Al Quba, Masjid Al Qiblatain and many more historic and meaningful places.

Inclement Weather Procedures


In case of extreme weather conditions (snow, hurricane, etc.), the School administration will confer and make the recommendation for the school and inshAllah, the notification will be sent by 7:00 a.m.

Determining factors to be reviewed throughout the whole school day shall include:

v Weather conditions/forecast

v Road conditions

v Facility Conditions

The recommendation will be either:

v Delay the Start of School by Two Hours
(students arrive at 10:00 a.m.)

v Close the school for the day

v Early Dismissal – Release at 12:30 p.m.
